Approximately twelve years ago, on a sunny day, in the loveliest of suburbs, in a town called Fairview, housewife Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) decided to end it all. Now she takes us into the lives of her friends, family… more and neighbors, introducing us to their relationships, their problems, and their secrets…
Her circle of girlfriends on Wisteria Lane includes Susan Delfino (Teri Hatcher), a known klutz who recently moved back into her home on Wisteria Lane after struggling with financial issues; Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), who has just gotten separated from her husband; Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross), whose love life walks on not-so-solid ground; the ex-model turned housewife Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), who finds herself coping with a big secret she’s keeping… along with her friends. The ladies now welcome the most recent addition to their clique, Renee Perry (Vanessa Williams), a former college roommate of Lynette’s, who is sure to shake things up on the street. Then there are the men: Mike Delfino (James Denton), Susan’s husband, a charming plumber and the big love of her life; Lynette’s adorable husband, Tom (Doug Savant), who has walked out on their relationship; Gabrielle’s husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), who did something rather awful to protect his wife; and Ben Faulkner (Charles Mesure), a handsome new neighbor who is going to spin heads… and possibly try to chop them off.
From her unique vantage point, Mary Alice sees more now than she ever did alive, and she’s planning to share all the delicious secrets that hide behind every neighbor’s closed door in this seemingly perfect American suburb.
